Manager Settings

Manager settings are essentially your preferences for how the system will work. Here is an explanation of each of these settings.

1) This is the direct file path of where the connector is located. This information is auto-generated and does not require further setup. Fingerprint templates are the default version of the USB fingerprint scanner connect to the attendance stand-alone and also doesn’t require further setup.

2) Users have the option of two modes; Normal Mode and TimeClock Mode. Normal Mode is the most commonly used mode and allows the user to enter their login information and be redirected to their own clock-in page. TimeClock Mode, which is discussed in detail in the next step, is set up more like a traditional time clock, where the employee must select their name from a drop down list.

3) This option is no longer available and will be removed in future versions.

4) Disable User/Pass logins requires employees to login with an internal number and password instead. This setting still works with or without a USB fingerprint scanner.

5) The snap picture on punch feature utilizes the user’s webcam to snap a picture when an employee clocks-in. The clock-in picture is then available on the website next to the employee’s attendance entry.

6) It’s important to remember that any settings you change must be saved in order to take effect.

When TimeClock Mode is activated, the user interface with look more like a conventional TimeClock. TimeClock mode can be activated by changing setting 2 in the above step.

To clock-in, an employee will double-click their name from within the drop down list and enter their login information. The process is the same only the interface will prompt the users who are currently clocked in and clocked out.

TimeClock mode is also eligible to be sorted using the toggles in the upper right hand, this comes in handy when a user has several employees and you need to find someone quickly.

Note: To exit TimeClock Mode, a manager must double-click their name and navigate to manager options and change the display back to “Normal Mode” and save the settings.
