TimeForge Age Rules enable your business to adhere to company, state, or federal mandates regarding minors and seniors in the workforce. For example, if employees under age 16 are restricted from working more than 20 hours per week, TimeForge can help you set up and enforce this restriction on the Age Rules Page.
Here’s how you can set up age rules for an employee.
Add or edit an “Age Rule”.
Click the blue “Edit” button to edit an existing age rule.
Click “Add A New Rule” to add a new age rule.

1. Here, you can edit the Age Range section to fit your needs.
2. Here you can edit the Minimum and Maximum weekly hours for this age rule.
3. Here you can edit the minimum and maximum weekly shifts for this age rule.
4. Here you can edit the minimum and maximum daily shifts for this age rule.
To set specific times during the week that these employees should or should not work, continue to the next step. If this does not apply, you are finished! Click Save!
Add Availability and Requests.
Select the appropriate day to add availability preferences by clicking on the link that appears in the name of the date.
Setting preferences is just like entering availability or requests for staff members. Select a preference (request) type, leave type (if applicable), and the date(s) applicable.
Click “Next” to add the availability.
