TimeForge has the ability to make templates out of entire schedules that have been built. These templates can also be made out of schedules for specific days, or specific shifts, or even specific employees or positions, depending on what you prefer. Templates made from entire schedules, no matter the length, are very handy for employers whose employees have consistent schedules. When creating a new schedule, you will be presented with an option to choose which created templates you would like to apply. The templates may be applied to the schedule day by day, or if you wish to use a template that was made from an entire schedule, that may be applied as well. Templates also have the ability to be “stacked”, meaning more than one template can be applied at a time. For example, if you apply a template to a week long schedule, but know that you will need some extra staff on Friday, and you have an “extra staff” template, you can add that to Friday, on top of the weekly template you’ve already applied.
Go to the “Schedules” page.
Make a template.
To make a template out of a schedule, locate the appropriate schedule in your schedules list and click the “Make Template” link located on the right side of the schedule’s row.
Name the template.
Choose a name for the template and select “Create”. The template will now appear in your templates list.
Apply the template made from an entire schedule to a new schedule.
2. Any templates created from entire schedules will appear in the “Would you like to use a weekly template?” drop down menu. Select the appropriate template from the menu.
4. Scroll down and click the yellow “Assign Employees” button to generate a schedule built from the selected templates.
