TimeForge has the ability to quickly calculate your daily sales as a percentage of your total weekly sales. You can determine the daily sales percentages while you configure your sales categories. This is useful if you know a weekly budget, but would like to know the budget for the entire week based on the percentage that you designate. If desired, you can also use this in combination with TimeForge sales analytics to carefully watch for trends that help management make decisions regarding things like staffing.
Instead of managers having to enter projections themselves, they can use this function to have their numbers automatically populated for them. Then, they can make changes wherever they see fit.
Distributing a daily percentage of weekly sales is easy, here’s how it’s done.
Navigate to the “Sales Categories” page.
- Log in
- Hover over the “Sales” menu
- Select “Sales Categories”
Select the sales category to edit.
Click “Edit” next to the sales category you’d like to configure.
Note: If you need to add a new Sales Categories, go to the Corporate Level.
Determine the daily sales breakdown.
For each day, insert the percentage of your weekly sales you would like us to calculate.
1. The total must equal 100 for your percentages to be calculated.
2. Click “Save” when you are finished.
Go to “Manager Projections” or “Actual Figures”.
Depending on which you would like to edit, navigate to either the “Manager Projections” or “Actual Figures” page.
Enter your total weekly sales.
Press the “calculate weekly” button when finished entering weekly sales.
Review your daily sales.
This box will appear after you click the calculate weekly button.
Press “OK” when finished reviewing.
