TimeForge saves management time and effort by streamlining labor management and making things like attendance tracking simple.
If you ever encounter your attendance appearing on the wrong day when you attempt to edit attendance, most likely the issue involves your “Open and Close Times” options. These options are intended as a safety net for payroll and daily labor costs. For example, if your open time is set to 6:00 AM, and an employee comes to work at 4:00 AM, their attendance is going to be recorded on the previous day since they clocked in before your business day actually begins. Alternatively, if your end time is set to 9:00 PM, and an employee clocks out at 11:00 PM, they will be recorded onto the next day.
If your store closes at 9:00 PM, it’s a good idea to set the “Close Time” in TimeForge a few hours later. This allows for any extra time that employees may need to clean the store or get ready for the next shift.
Go to the “Attendance Options” page.
- Hover over the “Attendance” tab
- Click “Attendance Options”
Note: These options are also available on the “Settings” page. Either place you make the changes will update the settings on the other page.
Check your “Open and Close Times”.
As mentioned above, make sure the attendance that is appearing on the wrong day doesn’t fall between this time span. So, in this example, if I had an employee work on Wednesday from 4:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the attendance would be recorded on Tuesday.
If your attendance does fall between these times but is still showing on the wrong day, call us and we’ll help you get it solved.
Note: If you make any changes to the Open or Close Times, be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click “Save”.
